Mana Vintners
Inspired by Mana Wahine
Mana Vintners
A few years after Lisa and Alan Packer sold their beloved Warr-King Wines—one of our all-time favorite projects—they decided to return to winemaking. We were honored to be asked to help create the look of their new brand—Mana Vintners!
The new venture was to honor “Mana Wahine”—defined as “woman of strength, power or influence.” It embodies the spirit, leadership and excellence of women—particularly those who inspire and motivates others.
We began with lei-inspired concepts, but when Lisa and Alan reviewed them, they requested something more stylized. That feedback was creative gold.
A new direction
An angular tribal-inspired logo—inspired by bold, geometric Polynesian tattoos—rendered in gold foil, contrasts nicely with elegantly stylized Hawaiian flowers and bold, commanding colors. The red wines feature one stylized flower; the white wines feature another.
The result
The finished label demands attention. Gold foil catches the light, embossing begs to be touched, richly-textured paper elevates the tactile experience. It’s cultural reverence wrapped in unapologetic luxury—exactly what the Packers do best.
